Hi, I'm Anne-Kaisa, an abstract painter based in The Hague in The Netherlands.

My work reflects the calmness and inspiration I find in nature around me. Through abstraction and minimalism, I aim to capture the complexity of a mood or a moment in time. I experiment with layers of color and textures, with each piece contributing to a sense of calm and warmth.

The past years marked a transition in my career. After years of working in the fast-paced world of fashion, media and magazines with leading brands like Chanel, Vogue and L’Oréal, I decided to shift my focus to painting. Storytelling through images has always been my favorite aspect of my profession. However, I yearned for more tranquility and a clear mind, which led me to turn inward and focus on creating paintings. This decision led to the establishment of a home studio, where I found the space to paint intensively.

The series Skyline is deeply rooted by the energy of the beach and the play of light that sketches the horizon. Each painting is one-of-a-kind and strives to capture a specific mood or moment throughout the day and changing seasons. I translate these moments onto canvas, aiming to evoke a sense of calmness and warmth.
